Come along to our photo sessions to dust off your camera and get snap-happy with a professional photography instructor.

Brush up on your camera skills and learn new photography techniques whilst on a photo walk class with other local keen photographers!

We run two hour photography sessions based on a photography theme/technique/style and they take place in various locations in Tempe.

  • New to photography? We also run a popular 3 hour Beginners Guide to Photography Class once a month. And once in a while we will run special niche 3 hour classes, for example, Astrophotography - so do subscribe to our newsletter to know when the next on is!

  • Who can attend? Open to all skill levels, from beginners to keen amateurs. The photography instructor is there to help you with camera settings and provide any advice you need.

  • What to bring? We recommend bringing a camera that has full manual mode or semi-manual modes (Aperture or Shutter Priority). Compact cameras and smartphones also welcome!

The meeting point and full details for the day are sent in the booking confirmation email to the email address you provide at time of booking.

Sara was a patient teacher, and I enjoyed putting into practice what we learned; Encanto Park was a good spot to photograph. Enjoyed the class and would definitely sign up for another.

Although I had a different understanding of what the class was about, I did learn quite a bit about organizing files and planning ahead of taking photos for the day. I felt this was more for a professional photographer and I'm a photography enthusiast, photos are for me as a hobby. Bryan laid out the class in a easy format, he took questions, is open, friendly and fun. His tips for general camera settings improved my shots in such a way that I've signed up for his next beginners class. I feel I'm lacking some fundamentals that I've lost over the years. High value class.

Many of us have cameras but don't how to get the most out of them. If that's you, take this class. Brian begins with explaining the reasons why the exposure triangle (aperture, shutter speed, IS)O is so important. Then he points out the obvious - you, the camera owner, needs to experiment with the three variables. Ultimately, you are a problem solver. Given the conditions at the moment, you need to figure out the optimal settings for a great exposure. As you hone your expertise with your camera, you can move to working on composition. Your eye, your perspective. 5-stars!

Circumstances beyond anyone?s control prevented us from going to the original location, so instead we had an ad hoc meeting with excellent discussions regarding aspects of landscape photography and photography principles in general. Fantastic overview of fundamental principles.

What's the information. When are the things that impress me and I've been around a little while. Is the sky is a different shade of blue slightly depending on if you're looking north or south.

Learn a lot from the presentation. But really learned from the photo review at the end. It is always good to interact with other photographers and this type of presentation encourages that.

Great Class! I have been taking pictures for almost a year and have been trying to learn through YouTube and blind practice. I really appreciate Bryan making things finally click for the basics that will instantly propel me forward with practical steps to take a good exposure. I knew what ISO, Aperture, and Shutter speed were, but now I feel more confident in what they do and how to pay attention to light and fix a lot of my problems I've been having.

Sunrise over Apache Junction on Sunday April 12th at 5:57am.Normally I post sunrise photos of the bright and colorful sunrise's that Arizona has become famous for. This sunrise, however, lacks those knockout colors but, after looking closely, the clouds have a painterly look about them. They appear to have been brushed over a featureless blue sky, one stroke, one color, at a time.Click or tap on the picture to enlarge it, then zoom in closer to get the full effect of the painted clouds.

Flowers are deeply imbedded in Indian Culture acting as vital components in religious worship festivals and daily life.I was taken by the vivid colors of thje flowers in contrast with the expression, or lack there of, of the young lady selling them. While I took many photos with my canon 6D Mar

This image is a Still Life Composition of "Berries, Wine and Grapes" that I created on a rainy day in my bedroom. I used no fancy Studio Lighting at all. My only light source was a hand-held flashlight that I kept moving rapidly. It was an experiment in Light Painting when I couldn't go outside to shoot.
